March 20th from 6-7pm at Evergreen Collective
Join us at Evergreen Collective for a sustainable reuse project with Julie from Junket Tossed and Found.
Come prepared to get creative and learn how to reuse everyday items to create something new for you!
More info:
Sashiko is a sewing style featuring long white contrast threads, often on indigo-dyed fabric.
Some purists swear by a specific type of needle, but it seems like a lot of fuss when long darners work beautifully. In this class, our friends from Junket will bring everything you need to freestyle a colorful patch (or two?) using only products sourced from post-consumer sources: vintage cotton prints, rescued denim and thread, plus estate-salvaged metal scissors & long darning needles for use during the class.
Patches can be used to repair and/or embellish items of their choosing. Alternately, attendees may choose to bring an item of their own (woven, cotton recommended) that they’d like to directly repair and/or embellish using this playful technique.
To purchase a ticket to this event, scroll up and select Add To Cart, when checking out choose local delivery. Because paying for shipping would just be silly for a ticket to this :)
