WHY WE LOVE IT

This natural kitchen sponge is made from 100% loofah and sewn with 100% cotton thread making it fully compostable.

Before your first use, place the sponge in water and allow it to absorb water and expand. Hang to dry after using. Dishwasher is safe on top rack. Most sponges are made of plastic and not only are they around for hundreds of years but they allow microplastics to go down the drain and into our water systems. EXCELLENT UPGRADE

For years I've been using a sponge that was like a scotchbrand sponge - slightly abrasive on one side and smooth cotton on the other. It worked fine, and I like this one so much better! It's slightly abrasive on both sides, so will last longer, and plumps up a lot more when wet so is more comfortable to handle. A great alternative to plastics.

compostable and effective

I love having a stack of these at the ready. They take I'll practically no space, expand with a bit of water and then scrub gently but effectively on everything from crystal bowls to cat iron pans. Then when they are a little worse for the wear, I pop them in the compost. So much better than plastic scrubbies that shed micro plastics and stay for who knows how long in the landfill. I'm almost excited about doing dishes now 😂
